Regarding Job

I completed my masters degree in Environmental Sciences in National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. I was specialized in wastewater treatment but I most of the companies are asking for Chinese proficiency and certificate courses which are in Chinese. I cant attend them due to language barrier as they are teaching in complete Chinese. what are the requirements I need to get job in Taiwan So, what can I do in this situation? I don't understand even though I fulfill all requirements why Taiwan companies are not referring?. Is that language? What about knowledge we get? only language is dominating knowledge. I agree that language matters for communication. What if they know language and don't have any knowledge about work?

Your idea is base on whoever is the most professional will lead.
But don't forget the key of communication is to change others mind set.
Due to people from everywhere with different background, to change mind set is very difficult if there is language barrier.
And since you are able to get master degree in top university, I believe Chinese certification is not an obstacle.

Hi, there are some key factors for your
reference:
a. Not many companies in Taiwan
specialize in water treatment field.
b. Even there are some of the company is looking for professional like you, the
working environment, even the boss
himselves is Taiwanese, and most of
them might not fluent in English, why
they would like to hire a foreigner when
there are plenty of local graduates like
you in Taiwan.
c. If you want to work in Taiwan, unless
you join a global/multinational company, you need to speak Mandarin, for all the
colleagues or clients even government
officials you are dealing with might not
fluent in English.
d. Asked your professor to give you
advise and hows the real job market
looks like in Taiwan.
e. You may go to another 104 Free
Service to check you resume, and you
can find me there as well.

Hi,
Agree with your comments, but this is the reality here in Taiwan, therefore, I suggest you to look for international companies , branch in Taiwan, because you have English advantage even you don’t have working experience, then you can start from entry level to learn more, wish you good luck 👍!
