Find a job without Mandarin
I am a Pakistani IT Professional with 8+ years of experience in Electrical, Chemical and Textile industries. How many chances do I have to find a job in Taiwan speaking English? Can you view my profile and suggest some improvements?
Hi Bilal,
Thanks for expressing your aspire to work in Taiwan. Apart from LinkedIn, you might look at the below link that foreigners could explore jobs opportunities in Taiwan. Many jobs posts didn't require fluent mandarin, especially you are an IT professional. For instance, NXP, Qualcomm, and some high-tech companies, welcome talents and don't regard mandarin as a barrier.
Best of luck on your next journey

Hi:
As for your question about employment opportunities for non-Mandarin speakers in Taiwan, there are an increasing number of positions in Taiwan, especially in tech and multinational companies where English is widely used. With your IT background and industry-specific expertise, you may find opportunities in areas such as technology companies, foreign businesses, and certain government projects focused on international collaboration.
However, improving your Mandarin skills will significantly increase your chances in the Taiwanese job market, where local language proficiency is often a requirement. It is recommended that you go to 104 Job Bank for resume health check-up, which can increase your chances of being invited to an interview by the company.
Good luck
